The Alameda is where I live. It is a very beautiful place.
My friend told me that Alameda is a very common name for streets in America. Its origin is from Spanish. It means a walking street. Usually there are a lot of trees on the Alameda, or there might be a park on the Alameda. It is true in where I live, and there are trees along the street and two parks nearby.
If the circumstance is true in everywhere in America, then people who are looking for a new place can take the Alameda into consideration. Or the new arrivals can check and choose to live on the Alameda.
I truly love my apartment. YMCA is located across the street, Safeway and Longs Drugs are half miles from my apartment. Coffee shops and a bakery are 10 minutes by feet. The most important thing is that the bus stops are just 1 minutes by feet.
Anyway, in California, you will be able to find a lot of streets which names are related to Spanish. The reason is the Califonia was formerly a Spanish colony in 1769. Then, it became one of the states in America in 1850.
